Here's the rundown: Name: Distantwatch AAN Function: Leader of the Gearobots/Ninja; Gearion's chest Alt mode: Binoculars Motto: 'Make no noise, beat the enemy' Name: Hit-Count 427 Function: Interrogation officer; Gearion's crotch Alt mode: Console controller Motto: 'No bot will stay silent under my watch' Name: Playback CH9 Function: Head of Training; Gearion's shoulders Alt mode: Video camera Motto: 'Everyone has talents - I'll find what they are' Name: Timepiece 6AM Function: Battle planner; Gearion's arm Alt mode: Watch Motto: 'Time is of the essence' Name: Tendo 1UP Function: Recreation assistant; Gearion's arm Alt mode: Hand-held video game Motto: 'Laugh the horror of war away' Name: Recall P69 Function: Communications; Gearion's leg Alt mode: Mobile phone Motto: 'Talking keeps a team together' Name: Macro 3391 Function: Supplies assistant; Gearion's leg Alt mode: Digital Camera Motto: 'Get what you need, doesn't matter how' Name: Skybird 295 Function: Surveillance; Gearion's back(headphone is chestplate) Alt mode: MP3 player Motto: 'Know your battlefield before battle begins' This is how Spy Shot becomes a leg, for those who want to know: [ATT]12762[/ATT] The knee for that leg will be in line with the camera lens. Said knee will probably be made from a Revoltech joint, same for the other leg. I'll be stealing the hands from a Voyager figure, and more than likely scratch-building the head (once I know what it looks like!). Assorted pegs will be added to hold the damn thing together, as well as giving him forward/back shoulder motion. I've already given him elbows as part of the arm component configuration. And as for how big this sucker is...well: [ATT]12763[/ATT] [ATT]12764[/ATT] Yep. 8 Scout-class figures = 1 Leader-class figure. Ironically, Gearion's motto is currently 'Size means slag all in a war'
LOVE it!! Great bios and a well thought out plan! Definitely keep us up to speed on this one. And be careful, you've only just begun and I see bandaids already!! **edit**Forgot to ask, is he a 'Bot or 'Con? The bios sound like Autobot to me. And I need Gearion's bio too please!
I've yet to work out a bio for Gearion, but he is an Autobot. And the bandaid is completely unrelated - that happened during Youth Group last night.
Ah. In that case: REDLINE, the reason I say 'when' I get into kitbashing is a combination of three factors: 1) Lack of time caused by school 2) Lack of funding to buy the necessary tools caused by my receiving only 12 bucks a week (and that goes nowhere in Aussie) 3) Lack of additional figures to work on caused by said lack of cash (I don't want to use my current figures because it makes my Autobots/Decepticons uneven). But don't worry, this sucker is on my to-do list, along with Refuse, an Alt re-shelled backwards, and a combiner involving Voyager-class figures as limbs.
Somewhere in the deep recesses* of my imagination that has yet to be unlocked. In other words, I don't know what it's gonna look like yet. I do know, however, that I'll set it up so that it's a ball-jointed neck, and that it plugs into both Longview and Zoom Out, with the actual neck being halfway between. *Is that a word?
