I've been wanting to do this forever, but Energon Towline's seem to be really hard to come by on ebay. I finally snagged this one in a lot of figures that the person was just trying to get rid of. The A-Team van is pretty iconic as van's go. Heck, I really can't think of any others.(besides ironhide and ratchet of course). I'm sure if I tried I could come up with an origin for how their van could be a transformer, but I'm not in the mood. If anyone else wants to take a crack at it, go ahead. The base was Towline with just a slight dremeling to the sides to get rid of the ladder. A base coat of Krylon Fusion Black took care of most of the paint job. THe red was a pain to add. I personaly think that the side stripes turned out very well though. Some silver was added to break up the red and black monotony. The bottom of the van/drone, was kind of tricky. It was hard to add lots of detail to it, but I believe I succeeded. The weapon/turrety thing came from some toy from the 80's. It can plug into any port. Overall, really simple custom with a very neat result. Feel free to leave comments. And yes, I know theres a paint rub or two in the pics. They've already been taken care of. Update: The way the head is hidden makes it difficult to add a mohawk. It's still possible though. I took your advice, Kalron(among others), and added a chain. But, oh no, I took it a stop further. Not only does the chain act as some bling but it doubles as a (non)deadly weapon ala ghost rider. I just weaved craft wire through the chain to make it bendable. Hope you like
Holy F'n A!!! Now that is something that I would never have thought of but should have!!! WOW, you just need to give old Towline a MoHawk and some gold chains!!! Pitty the FOOL!
You know I gotta pipe in on this one! IF you don't go with Kalron's suggestion, a white helmet and a stogie will suffice. I love it when a repaint comes together! In 2004, an energon towline unit was sent to toy stores by a hasbro court for a crime he didn't commit. This robot promptly was sold from a maximum security walmart to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, he survives as a repaint of fortune. If you have a towline, if no one else can help, and you want him painted to look like the A team van, maybe you can hire the Conundrum. Brakka brakka brakka brakka brakka den don den don den da. den da dum da de da dum da de and so on.... THIS RULES!!!
Did you know that....In 1972 a crack commando team was sent to prison for a crime they did not commit. These men promptly escaped to the New York City underground. Today these men survive as soldiers of fortune, if you have a problem, and no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-team!!!!!
Thanks for liking him everyone. I know I do. Here he is now with some chains. Sadly though, no mohawk.
For some reason, the image of this d00d laying down some gunfire and not hitting a damn thing followed by him rag dolling everyone with a few punches puts a smile on my face.
HAHA, dude, go to newgrounds and search Mr. T. vs. Unicron part1. and check out Mecka T transform. You did some good work here.
Somehow, you gotta do a pic of it hurling over a jump with an explosion behind it. This custom ain't no jibba jabba, fool!!!
I'm slightly amazed at all the positive comments everyone has posted(or rather just comments). Glad I could at least just give you guys a slight chuckle at the least.
