I removed the arms and put them on the right way round, and repainted it using humbrol paints and matt varnished it to resemble the movie prime in better detail. ive added metallic paint/scratching etc i wanted to go for a grittier dirtier look instead of all chromed and nice. Theres no real pro method to speak of, i just took bits off and painted them and then put it back together!
ive tried to keep the feel of the toy intact by not messing with the flames or adding/removing parts, i just followed the movie design and sorted out the most obvious traits.
heres some pics!! www.evile.co.uk www.myspace.com/evileuk |

I mean, that LOOKS like metal, down to the scratch patterns on the metal way up close. Sorta oily and dirty... like you'd expect a robot made from a hard-working big-rig to look. It's beautiful!
You've got some real talent there. |

I really wish I could see your custom, but school computers don't process images so I have to wait 20 minutes till I get home. XBL GT: SPLITTLIP Quote:

yeah the arms were put on back to front, with the circular caps facing in, when they should be facing out, it makes no difference to the operation of the figure, not sure how they managed to get that wrong really!
its the wrong thread to mention it but ive already put it in the ebay section of the boards as its up for sale, just wanted to put it here as well so people could have a good look at it, as im really happy with how it turned out!
cheers dudes!!

Now I'm converted! Fantastic job--I really like the dirt in the smoke-stack intakes too. |
