This is a custom that literally took months of planning and building. Not months straight, as it was an on-and-off project as I gathered parts and ideas, but it ended up being a total labor of love that paid off.

The figures that went into the building are either impressive or daunting:
    2X Classics Megatron
    CW Onslaught
    CW Cyclonus
    BH Shockwave
    Generations Arcee
    Generations Brainstorm
    Constructbots Shockwave
    Universe Treadbolt
    G1 Shockwave

    Here's a WIP shot:

    And the final:

    Obligatory "Are All Dead" pose

    Alt mode:

He fits in perfectly with my CHUG Decepticons, being almost the same height as Galvatron:

I personally think he looks aresome in darker settings:

I didn't want it to be a part-former, and had an entire series of joints and beams designed to allow the barrel to form to the back like the MP version, but couldn't do it without sacrificing the solidity of the bot mode. I refused to sacrifice a mode, so settled for an acceptable alternative.
The articulation was a big factor as well, and he's pretty much loaded with it. Ankle tilts, waist, double elbows, wrist, neck, shoulder, knees, and swivels at the thighs and the knees.

Well ,that's it for now. I have a few small touch-ups to do, but aside from those, this one's done!

    Thanks!
The paint is Testors Lacquer Purple-icious spray.

I'd do terrible, terrible things for an official Generations voyager Shockwave.

This is AMAZING! Excellent work once again, my friend... In lieu of an official HasTak product to display with my CHUG 'cons, I would HAPPILY have this standing front and center with Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave etc...

No kidding, the work he does constantly amazes me!

I think you did a fantastic job. I love a custom Shockwave, but I especially love it when twenty different robots are used to make one. That said, I think you did yourself a disservice by using the Construct Bots head.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!

I had debated using this head or the Alternators one. In the end, with some advice from a friend, I went with the mix of styles the Constructbots head uses.
I won't say I disliked the Alternators one, but this one ended up fitting the entirety of the figure a lot better.

That is some outstanding work. Makes me want to go back and revisit my own Shockwave because I'm embarrass by it now :)  The "green stuff" filler came out extraordinarily smooth in the end. And that ALT mode...oh that ALT mode...

    Thanks!
The legs were fun to work on. They were framed with styrene strips, then I used a kneadatite putty to fill the wider gaps. After that, Liquid Greenstuff was used to smooth the tougher areas. Once I had all the pieces in place, I used Perfect Plastic Putty to finish the shape (I can't recommend that stuff enough- it's amazing). After that cured, sandpaper of various grits made the shin pieces almost perfectly smooth.

I like so much that you've chosen BW chest for your version, probably it's the best choice for that section;I appreciate also the colouring, really well accomplished and very dark,so the articulations, especially on arms and their details.
Then, inferior part of the legs remind so much the character.

Congrats! He's really amazing!I never performed similar things so I can't judge many things, but it's always so good seeing my favorite Decepticon customised so well
