Once I saw the Legends version of Nucleon, I just had to have him, but the price difference was just too damn much... And that TV purple was a bit too light for such a major bad guy. So I decided to do it myself, and I think it turned out better than the Takara version anyway. I unscrewed the face from the torso, then removed the pin at the knees using a punch and hammer (get a friend to help, seriously!) so I could work without worrying too much about blackening the wrong areas. I then blackened the tips of the pin after I put it back in. I used black and red "Gundam markers" (first time, too) to apply the colour. These are great so far. The markers will not come off with alcohol, but I used an X-acto blade to scrape off any unwanted application (I touched the foot before I realized I shouldn't). I really don't know what else I could say that would be of use.
If you wait, you might be able to swap the faceplate with the upcoming Megatron triple changer. That way, you'll have a mini Megatron that turns into Megatron's head, and a small figure, that looks a bit like the Minicon Leader, that becomes Galvatron's head.
have you tried using an eraser on the gundam markers? For their panel line pens you can use a good eraser to remove it (makes drawing panel lines oh so much easier)
It's amazing how much better these Titan Masters can look with just a few small paint touches. Good work.
Thanks all! Galvatron face is planned, but I haven't done it yet. Will try the eraser on the back of his legs.
