So, Paralon huh? A repaint of a RID toy is nothing new, but I think the new head based on Beast Wars Scorponok took a lot of us by surprise. As much as I appreciated the homage the color scheme just wasn't going to cut it for me, and so here we are. Just a straight repaint of Paralon to make it look more like BW Scorponok. Also took a spare Waspinator I had and painted it up to become Scorponok's Cyber-Bee. Also, he really seems to fit in with the DOFP guys I've been making/collecting, so I think I'll be using this Scorponok in place of the TFCC version. Scales well with the others, and yeah he's not a vehicle like the rest but usually guys named "Scorponok" are allowed to have scorpion alt-modes whenever they want. (P.S. The Polar Claw used in one of the photos is a custom made my Cheetimus, full credit to him for his amazing work)
I love your repaint, and your Predacon lineup makes me jealous. I don't own the Paralon mould so I was wondering, is it possible to pose the robot with the scorpion claws on his hands like Beast Wars Scorponok?
It is actually. And thanks for reminding me that I forgot to include that picture. Though when the claws are like that arm articulation becomes hindered quite a bit.
Wouldn't be surprised if, either it was *meant* to be Scorponok... or that the head was left over from Funpub's would-be concepts for future TFCC stuff. That said... me likey.
I am sure Takara will paint it like this. They had better include the targetmaster drone, too, though, or there will be riots in Tokyo...
Don't be so sure about it. Paralon is on the show. They would have to specifically make a Beast Scorponok figure to make one with this kind of deco.
