So here's my finished (more or less) Rodimus. He turned out a lot more G1 than I had originally anticipated, but I'm pretty happy with the result.

Due to the extensive modifications I made to his spine and arms he can't transform, but that also gave me the freedom to make his chest flames a separate part instead of the decal I had planned on using. I kind of picture the flames sliding together to hide the Autobot symbol if he had a car mode. I was originally going to use a spare Springer head, but changed my mind at the very last minute and I'm glad I did as I think this is a much more appropriate and distinct choice, especially if Rodimus is going on the shelf right next to Springer

I also added a custom weapon (thanks for the suggestion char_leigh) in the form of Targetmaster Firebolt. He's just a quick repaint of Holepunch.

Nice mod. But I don't like the flames just hanging off his chest. You paint a flame design on his chest.

His chest is ginormous, but the rest of him looks pretty good.

The finished product looks awesome. I never realized that it was a voyager-sized figure - which is great. That group shot is kickass. I really like the front silhouette of the figure.

Such an awesome coincidence that you did this figure, especially with the upcoming release of the anniversary blu-ray!

I like it Psiwire! It's a nice blend of the IDW, G1, and a bit of Bay-verse aesthetic. What kind of car doe the chest come from? Knowing that would help conjure up an image of the vehicle mode in my mind. I like your idea of having 3-D flames. I can imagine Rodimus transforming and the flames popping up like in a pop-up book or like a frilled-lizard's neck.

    Good Job! :thumbs2:

That's the front of one of the Movie Sideswipe's toys. I think it's probably the ROTF deluxe.
