    Hey guys,

I've been itching to do this project for a while, but the dang upgrade kits were taking forever to materialize! Anyways, here is my attempt at an "MP" devastator. Base is a CW Devastator with an X2 XS001 upgrade kit. I modified the kit's hands to allow better thumb articulation and did a full repaint in metallics. Since he just came from the construction yard, I dusted him up a bit.

    Enjoy!

And this is what it would feel like to have Devastator look down on you!

    And, because I had to!

Of course, he likes to play with my son's toys when I'm not around.

That really does look awesome! Even with metallics, it still manages to look realistic and super impressive.
    Beautiful work.

:)  Glad you think so, too. It's one of the reasons I've been looking so forward to this project and holding off on getting Gravity Builder/Constructor. I was hoping it would turn out pretty good. He has a lot of shelf presence, now. I repainted the bots with detail for individual modes, but the lack of articulation really shows through there. However for Devastator, it works pretty well. At least he doesn't look like a cheap toy any longer! :)

Thanks bud! I never know how Metallics will turn out, but it's my preferred paint for transformers. Not really sure why. :)  Unfortunately it causes me to do a ton of paint mixing to get the shades to my liking.

My next is a menasor with a scratch/mod'd torso. I haven't scratch built anything before, so we'll see how it turns out :)

On a side note, I hate how photobucket auto rotates stuff on my ipad, these pics are all jacked on my ipad, but are correctly oriented on a computer. Bleh.

It's amazing how much detail is hidden in the CW Constructicons. Beautiful work!
