Yet another TR Galavatron. My version.... Painted all grey's silver Added some red and silver highlights here and there to break up purple. Also panel lined with black Mask removed and fixed, folding head added. Added plate on top of chest to cover gap left by mask removal. And cannon mod from my other thread. Looks a lot better
Was thinking of silver coating only some parts but you make a very good case for all the grey plastic! The flip down head assembly is really the best way to go; great execution! Did you do some partswapping on the Titan Master too?
As standard i always silver up the grey parts on all my tf's. Its a very simple thing that always makes a world of difference. The titan master is stock, just painted purple.
Looks really good! Wish I'd thought to pick him up last time I saw him. He looks (IMO) like the CHUG Galvatron of my dreams all painted up, I'll definitely be parroting yours when I paint mine, though I'll be panel lining him with red, it makes him look eeevil. Is there a tutorial for that head mod anywhere? I'd really like to not have to make guesses when I get mine and try to do the mod.
Nice. Would a tutorial of sorts be possible for all the mods you did to the face and head? I really want to do something like that with my Galvatron but I just don't know where to start.
^^ agreed, hate the head master gimmick, especially on guys who weren't head masters. Teach us the way!
How did you get face to sit so flush against helmet? It looks so good that way! Did you dremel the inner part of helmet?
For the head swing I cut away the purple section in front of the head master port. Then I cut away the outer part of the grey neck area so it has the clearance to swing into place. Then it's just a case of finding a longer pin and replacing the current one to enable the swing.
Not sure sorry, just a bit of scrap wire I had sitting around. Possibly a wire coat hanger or something similar?
It seems finding a suitable pin is the toughest part of making a Galvatron head mod I don't even know where to begin looking
