Remember 2002? I hardly do, I was only 7. I love fembots and obscure characters and who better to fit both those bills than everyone's favorite archeologist lady bot, Glyph. My fembot shelf was lacking when I decided to pop onto eBay to find a ko bumblebee to repaint. I couldn't find a ko but I did find a g2 bee with a crack in the chest, which was the perfect candidate for only $25. And when it arrived I went to work on what was my first full repaint custom project. Enjoy

 

I like the faceplated head best. Great job! I wish Takara would make this.

 

It's just as well you picked a G2 bee instead. I hear bootleg bumblebees are notoriously un-paintable.

i sanded down the edges of the face to give her a more feminine profile
also the botcon 2002 glyph showed up the day after i finished the custom

I have a running "Diaclone" repaint section of my collection -- I like having one extra version of the car bots to display in alt mode...

I've been holding off for a Blue Bumblebee instead of the red they released (seem to be a lot of red already with Exhaust, Tracks, Sunstreaker, Mirage etc) and I wanted a little variety.

I would love one like this, and I agree that I prefer the faceplate look

Nicely done Killatron! This hits several spots of interest for me. One: she's a VW Beetle, two: she's a fembot, and three: she's blue. Add to that her visor/battle-mask face and you have a great looking little bot!

i need an mp cliffjumper to be made so i can buy two and make a custom tap out

 

and i may also look into a second xtransbots hatch to make an mp version of rook(the reporter, not the soldier)
