I was wondering when someone would repaint the Botcon style Magnaboss with more accurate colors. Looks good man, wish they did something that looked like that for Botcon instead of just using a sticker sheet.
Though honestly I would of liked ironhide using the motor master mold, and silverbolt using the firefly mold
Yeah, that fits the Beast Wars toys better. However, since they took the comic in the direction that these actually ARE the G1 characters, this works better. In my mind, Ironhide wouldn't become the main torso until they take on the beast forms and have to reformat their shapes anyway. I'm actually planning something similar myself, so I approve of these customs.
I wasn't originally going to use the face stickers, but I realized that I don't actually have the skills or the tools to draw on a Magnaboss face that would have looked any better. I know PE has the full face Superion head that I theoretically could have painted, but $30 for something you're just going to paint over is too steep for me.
Looks great. I was wondering why you didn't paint Silverbolt all brown but I see that you kept the red for the combined form. Nice work all around, I love this idea.
