So the latest issue of the TFCC magazine featured a page dedicated to the fourth souvenir figure, Unit-3, and the other ideas they were considering for the Streetwise mold. Those other ideas were: Out of all of those head designs Optimus Minor was one that stood out to me as it looked like something I could actually pull off. Turns out the head was the easy part, the robot mode was the neutral part, and the vehicle mode was the tough part. All things considered I think it came out pretty well. Might even give some others like Stampy a try later on if i can find another Streetwise.
We could've had WOLFANG?! that'd have been an awesome pairing for Tigatron in the set. Great work on the custom. Hope people take some of these inspirations and keep rolling with them like you did.
Lobe the chimp mask on the car mode. I think the bot mode head crest needs one or two dots of green, plus a few asymmetrical green-dot details in the chest, though.
I always find it funny how combiner wars line is one of the lines that could be used for many characters using one mold, and fans like it (and then they complain about how they are reusing the mold)
Same here, just so many interesting ideas there that I wish got to see the light of day. And as much as I love Unit/Under-3 I would have preferred a Wolfang or Ramulus. I probably will go back and add some green to the head crest but for the moment I just wanted to recreate the concept design. Also I originally had some aysmmetrical dabs of blue on the chest to recreate the original's but it didn't look that great in hand so it was painted over.

Actually I do have another Streetwise ordered so I'll be taking on at least one more. I'm thinking Ramulus but if I can't find the right color blend to get his metallic magenta right then I'll probably make Stampy instead.
Wow! I want all of those. They all work so well! It makes we wish we had a line of Beast (Combiner) Wars instead of just a handful. Except Grimlock. He and Dinobot should use the Generations Springer like they teased us, without question. Hell, Springer's weapons are even a dead match for Grimlock's. Or Ramulus. I don't really see the head as a match. Nor does the alt mode fit. Same goes for Armordillo. Polar Claw and B'Boom, while the heads do work, they need to be voyagers. Not deluxes. Probably using the Motormaster and Onslaught mold respectively, if keeping with the Combiner Wars theme. Lio Jr seems like that's what they almost went with, but for some reason changed their minds at the last minute and we got Under-3. Probably because if they did Lio Jr, then they really would have had to do Santon and Skywarp as well. And then we would have had a proper Magnaboss to go with out (Tri)Predacus instead of just a couple exclusive figures, a few retail, and a sticker sheet. But yeah, all the others would have worked for me.
Even if their the same mold, I really wish the rest of those could be made. Excellent work on Optimus Minor.
agreed on Dynobot and Grimlcok Ramulus works as a Generations Skullgrin redeco to me. Armordillo (along with Bump and Psycho Orb) work as redecoes of t30 legends class Bumblebee Polar Claw could work from either cybertron defense scattorshot or energon landmine. BBoom/Apache could work as generations Skids redecoes. I think Magnaboss would wrok better as redecoes of the TF Go Swordbots Samurai Team. (Kenzan as Liojunior, Ganou as Santon, Jinbu as Skywarp)
I love that someone is doing those Streetwise repaints from the TFCC magazine. These are really cool. Bring on more!
More are on the way actually! Currently working on Ramulus and after that possibly Bantor from the Streetwise mold as well after that.
