Bad Cube Wardog is an excellent figure, if not for one thing: with complex mechanics of transformation, great design and high quality level, and at a sufficiently high price alt-mode looks mmmm ... a little cheap because of the unpainted tank tracks/caterpillars So I decided to fix it
It definitely looks better, but I hate to say it doesn't really look all that much different. Maybe a darker gunmetal for the actual treads than the tread wheels would make more of a difference? The new limited edition version nails fixing the plain look it had, and then some. Maybe take some ques from that to really take it to the next level?
I had the same thought. I think it just needs some contrast. Not sure which way would look better, but think it's close.
Thank for comments i know about new version of Wardog, but i didn't think about customised all tank - it's like new model for exhibition - clean, not damaged and rusted personally i didn't like the toy-like grey plastic on tracks with wheels only on this figure also there are some difficulties with masking wheels separately from tracks for best result because the tracks and wheels are the one piece of plastic
I don't think they were suggesting painting the whole thing. They were just saying to look at the tracks from that one for ideas. Personally, I think your mod looks nice. You did what you set out to, which was to get rid of the cheap look of the original treads and it works nicely.
Heheh!! Isn't Warpath/Wardog vain about his appearance like Tracks? He'd never let himself look like the limited-edition Wardog.
