    I never liked the reds on Trailberaker so I swapped them with Ironhide. Even though Ironhide is now all red, I like them both more.

    Neat idea Solrac333, but how did you remove the knee pins?

    Also, TrailBreaker looks awesome, but Ironhide is too monochromatic and it washes out some of his detail. His hands and thighs need some contrast, maybe some sort of blackwash or panel lines would help? Anyway, TB comes out of this as the definite winner of the parts-swap! :)

    Ironhide is monochrome but I am more happy how Trailbreaker looks now. I don't mind the all read. I may get another Ironhide so that I can give him the gray thighs. That did look good before I finished the swap. I may do other swaps with other figures.

    What about making it a three-way swap and moving Trailbreaker's parts to CW First Aid and FA's to Ironhide? FA's parts are a darker red that would provide Ironhide a little more contrast, and the brighter red wouldn't make FA any worse.

    Nice idea. Some detail work on both would help, mostly on Ironhide though.

    I'm in the process of a significant retool of CW First Aid to Trailbreaker, and I can tell you that it's not possible to swap the upper arms between the two because the tabs for the shoulder doors are adjusted so that First Aid's upper arms can't work on Trailbreaker's doors (They won't close flush for Truck mode).

    The hip pieces can be swapped between the two, though you may have to sand/shave both the top of the hip peg and peg slot for First Aid (using Trailbreaker's hips. First Aid's work perfectly in Trailbreaker's body.)

    Trailbreaker definitely came out the winner of this exchange. :D 

    I considered this myself, but I found that I liked the red as a contrast with Trailbreaker. But, good to see that, if I ever change my mind, this will look great!

    If I had enough of these, between Trailbreaker, Ironhide, First Aid, Offroad, and that Zombie Wars Breakdown, I bet I could make everyone's color scheme a bit better!

    I've been parts swapping since the 80s lol. It's fun to just mix & match parts from a similar toy and create new ones. Or improve on characters(target FOC Grim comes to mind)
