    Finished!!! BW Bonecrusher 2.0

**Final update.... For now. July 20.
I painted the white part of the torso black, the furr on the thighs and painted the feet gold. Bonecrusher has awesome articulation now, really just lacking wrist and fingers. I used his tail mechnism to support a hand made blade. He needed a weapon seeing as his gaping mouth "flamethrower" is long gone. He doesnt technically have a mouth at all now. Still transforms, tbe tail weapon sits in beast mode only by friction.
Last photo is my origanal cutom. Glad i pushed forward with good advise.

I finished this back in October. It was just a quick fix for this great BW figure. I thought it needed a better head and some anckle articulation. I might go back and add some little horns so the head isn't to much like starscream.
Let me know what you think!

    * Edit * So I've taken the input from U9 and saw whats possible with this figure, from his recent work. Im in the process of rebuilding the head with a more Visigoth look.
Please let me know what you think!!

Well, honest opinion: I think it does look cool, and possibly better than the figure did before, but it no longer looks like the BW Bonecrusher character so much. What I feel this figure needed most was just some extra paint details that stay mostly within the existing color pallet and a recsulpted mouth. That big hole he has for a mouth is his biggest silly point in my opinion. You fixed the mouth issue, but in the process killed a lot of that BW Bonecrusher wild buffalo bot look he had.

I've been wanting to work on this figure for a while myself but can't bring myself to open the MOC one I have...

Here's a few cool drawings of him looking neat that inspire me to want to work on mine one day too.

^^^ Thanks, that's probably the best feedback I've ever got.
I usually do a little more research, but did this guy as a quick project. After seeing those pics I may go back and try to improve on the head design.

Also, I do have an extra bonecruser for trade/sale if your interested.

Thanks again for the honest feedback.

I'm loving the heels. But the head's a bit generic. Doesn't really suit the original's more Visigoth appearance.

Sounds good to me. Just shoot me a PM with what you want for it and maybe we can work something out for that. :)

Also, with your custom having the black feet and a non-beastly head now it would be a great one to paint red, black, and silver, sculpt the military cap onto the head, and have a Street Fighter crossovers M. Bison figure, haha.

^^ I totally looked up M. Bison, as I'm not to familiar with Street fighter, would've looked good! But you inspired me with your critique and your own work so I'm rebuilding the head.

    Heres where I'm at

    - shaved most of starscreams head off
    - dis logged the horns and upper head from the previous build
    - shaved all the pieces to fit together
    - temporarily used black pen to show my idea for the mustache.

I need advise for putty, will be my first attempt using it. Please and thanks!

I use Apoxie-sculpt for this kind of thing.
You'd only need a very small amount; just a tiny little ball of the 2 parts mixed.
Press it onto the face where it needs to be, dab a finger in water, then smooth it out well. After that use an exacto blade to cut everything away but what you need to make the shape of the mustache, the excess sculpt should easily scrape away cleanly leaving just the mustache.
Then lightly press the blade over the sculpted stache repeatedly to create lines so it looks like hair, unless you want a smoother look like Wreck-Gar or G1 Scourge's mustache.
    Hope that helps.

I am absolutely loving the new headsculpt. It keeps the spirit of the original, whilst giving the character a whole new spin.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately the shop didnt have the apoxie sculpt, and the lady didnt know anything about the product she had. So i got the contour putty and at least got some practice. It seems like it will dry brittle... Thoughts?

Here where im at, I have to figure out the mouth now. My black smudge attempt isnt really cutting it.

*edit* new phone is messing up my picture uploads, will try to fix soon. Sorry

I remember seeing this with the Starscream head awhile back, and I had no idea this was even the same custom today. It looks fantastic.
