I love the Fansproject upgrades for Bruticus. The Combiner Wars version,while pretty nice, was an easy pass for me. I wanted to maintain the unique look of Bruticus since I have three other CW combiners. Then I came across this excellent Shapeways piece that allows the CW Brawl to attach to the Energon/ROTF version

All that was left was a proper chest shield. I altered a G1 piece to fit, added some panel lines and secured it with magnets for transformation. I'm very pleased with the results and highly recommend the adapter to anyone who has the old Bruticus. Getting rid that lame tank takes the figure to another level.

 

Do they line up properly? I mean is the height perfect?

 

Brawl, you mean? Yeah, it's pretty much perfect. You can see it in the picture. It's maybe a little wider, but it doesn't affect his stance or anything

 

Huh. Who knew. Never had any Energon guys as I got into Transformers during the first movie.

 

Does this adaptor only work for CW Brawl ? I'm trying to find if anyone makes adaptors so you can use Munitioner/Explorer on CW Bruticus ?

 

That adapter only works with Brawl, but check his store. He has other adapters available.

 

An adapter that is available to make an Energon Port to CW port would be too large, or to long to make Munitioner compatible...
The reason Combiner Wars Brawl sits so nicely with Fans Project/Energon Bruticus Maximus is that CW Brawl folds at the bottom so he can be a leg.. and the peg is easily replaced with the Adapter from Steamshield on Shapeways verses the other way around where Munitioner has no play or a method to connect to a CW's Port.. I tried to do it myself..
