    x - Copy.jpeg View attachment 27627987 So, this is a Titan-sized Abstract/minimal Devastator I started a little over a year ago, and decided it's time to get back on it & start chippin-away at it again. Got caught-up with other projects & kinda forgot about it for a while.....

    Devy will be roughly 22-inches tall, about the same height & width of Generations Metroplex & G1 Fort Max, designed specifically to display nicely in scale with them. Not many Titan-sized 'bots in the TF-line that are around 22" tall, so that's what I used as my size-reference when I began this guy. Another reason I made him this size, was to obviously tower over my previous figures in the TF-Abstract-line that I've done so far, but articulated as well. Legs are done, just deciding now how to do the upper-thighs and connect them to the hip.

    Well, only showing his lower legs, that's EXTREMELY minimal. ^.~

    I tease, of course. It's an interesting style. Looking forward to seeing more. =3

    I can't wait to see this progress, the previous minimal sculptures have been absolutely amazing.

    Can only be classed as true works of art

    Update on Abstract Devy! Finally got his upper-thighs built and connected. Time to start working on the torso and chest now. Estimated-height is around 24", to fit right in scale alongside Fort-Max & Generations Metroplex. :wink:  Still not sure if I'm selling this or keeping it for myself...

    I really like where this is going. It's cool to see unique sculptures like this (even if they're only partially done).

    Pressing-on with some upper-body progress on the Abstract/minimal Devy this weekend! It's looking like Devy will be somewhere around 24 to 26" tall now. Chestplate, Long Haul & Hook is nearly finished, will decided how and where to build Hook's crane-boom once I get the head done.....will probably jump on the arms next, and head last. :cool:

    Jeeeeezzzzzz......can't believe I'm replying to my own zombie-thread 3-years later, but this project has picked back up!! Devy finally has arms, hands and knee-extensions to bring his height up a bit to match the upper-body proportions now. Worked on the head-template today to narrow that down, and determine how much space is left for Hook's crane-boom and cab-window. :cool:

    ::emgo:: Hooray for arms!

    But honestly---I'd just stop here. "Minimalist". It doesn't really need a crane etc. The toon left it out, and it's still iconically Devy without it.

    It's fine to add it, but don't "force it". Just IMHO.

    So here's the latest test-shots of Devy's current-face templates. These are all separate paper-templates connected temporarily to experiment with the look I was shooting-for, and I'm really likin' this one. The head will also expand towards the back and deepen a bit, so this is not entirely-final. Based on the prior-feedback & current-look, I'm likely going with this one......But let me know your thoughts & opinions on this look, thanks! :cool:

    It seems this pandemic is allowing everyone to dig out their old projects. I never thought I'd have the time to get into discussing transformer customization/ art with fine folks but here we are.

    This is really great! The rivets in the chest are a nice use of a fastener.

    Mr David Hingtgen makes a great point about the crane. It wasn't in the toon. He also reminds you that you are going for minimalist. (Forgive my lack of double quotes.)

    To further agree, it looks like Devastator. If you decide to paint it the iconic color scheme it's going to make it more evident so if you get too detailed (I.e. crane). It might be too much.

    Just my opinion that's similar to that other guys opinion.
