Big DD was my fav TF toy as a kid! Cool! Thanks for sharing! If a proper Transformers game was ever made featuring all these obscure G1 characters I'd like to think Doubledealer's powers/profile for his ingame character would be something like this Doubledealer is a warrior class that combines medium defense with high AOE damage. Doubledealer can turn a losing fight into with his AOE presence- and defend rally points with ease, however he is not an effective solo character and should avoid going one on one with more sturdy warriors and tanks such as Optimus Prime or Ultra Magnus. Some would consider Doubledealer a support- if he wasn't prone to bailing on his team mates to save himself. Be warned- as effective as The Equalizer is at wasting the enemy team when timed correctly- it does do an amount of damage to friendly targets- because everyone is at risk of losing- when playing with a dirty Doubledealer...
This would make for an interesting combiner playing into the faction switching: Doubledealer as the torso Punch(from Wheeljack) for the right leg Counterpunch(TFCC) for the left leg Sideways (Dlx Groove or Airraid) for the right arm, Decepticon form Sideways Cybertron colors "Mirror" (Dlx Groove or Airraid) for the left arm, Autobot form Sideways Armada colors Tie into the Titanmaster master line by making Doubledealer's Powermasters into Autobot and Decepticon combine mode heads.
