So in a topic we were all talking about the 'con and then how G2 CHUG swipe will never see a release due to it being the club class figure. I see it going on ebay for $1500. Being in really short funds I was tempted to sell my G2 swipe, which you can see here. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/343882-g2-sideswipe-eat-botcon.html So... he messaged me and I looked at my g2 swipe... it was good but not the best, and there was a lot of choppy paint. I just couldn't sell it, it didn't meet my standards of selling something. Instead we worked out a commission. I used the MP G2 swipe as a color reference. Since the rear of the car flips around (the trunk faces forward) I used some liberties to make sure there was some red and silver facing forward in robot mode. The hard part was the stickers. Oh man were they hard. I managed to recreate them... then found out they dont show up on the black I had painted. Had to give them a G2 green coat underneath then. But... it's done. Other hard part was the windshield. It's clear but painted black. And it turns super soft and can break when using isopropanol to remove it. I used 100% isopropanold (molecular biology grade) to carefully remove the black tint. I figured why not use fluorescent paint for the headlights. Shoulder cannon is a placeholder, the guy has the TFC Gear of war launchers. This came out so well I might go back and redo my own g2 swipe since that was more a partswap job than anything else. Every time I see a piece of work like that, I start pondering about looking for a commission. Then, sadly, I realize that it won't fit my budget. =x
