Well I used green stuff to sculpt the hair so it'd be bendy, but it isn't actually poseable. Maybe if I had sculpted over a metal wire it might have been? But then too much bending can break the green stuff so I dunno... Yeah I agree. It was hard to paint a human face at such a small scale. I'd try to re-do the eyes but they might actually end up worse. I kept the legs and arms like they were because I wanted to keep the existing flesh tone to help avoid paint rubs on such an articulated figure, but I also dislike how jacked they make her in these latest SF games. She's like a bodybuilder lately. Hah me too, but in SFV she doesn't have the leg camo. I haven't yet seen an articulated SFV Cammy and that's what I was going for. The rubber hips part kinda sucks so I'd suggest getting their upcoming version which looks much better and less anime shaped instead of the one I used for this. Figma Archetype Next Flesh Color - She - Figma Figma And another really great looking but larger option is this- https://www.animepoko.com/product/t...ange-s-h-figuarts-action-figure/4549660040873 And what I'm making my next Cammy from just because I had to try it out, is this- https://www.shapeways.com/product/TVVG2SA7J/fb01-body-01s-6inch?optionId=43764980 You guys should check out that dude's shapeways store because he has TONS of mix and match parts you can use to make just about any custom figure you can think of. All 3 of those bodies come in male and female too BTW.
Nice. Haven't played sfV yet, but if that's the case this is beyond perfect. I can practically hear "locomotion" playing.
That's the point. This site has the correct tags for reasons. If the OP could just use them then all will be well.
The leotard is a bit thin at the bottom (even given how thin Cammy's has gotten), and the expression is a little... pouty/bored. That said, totally just creative criticism. Two thumbs up!
Thanks! Here's a few pics of her from SFV and a pic of one of her alternate outfits that I LOVE and really want to make a figure of at some point. All IS well. Seems you're the only one who has this huge problem with it. I doubt how I tagged it actually hurts the work I did in any way, as you suggest it does. I was asking about how I could improve the figure. :/ Thanks. Maybe I will re-do the eyes then. Hate for any one thing to keep all that work from being as good as I wanted it to turn out.
Best of luck with that! I know eyes are a huge pain on a normal scale, let alone something tiny. Or non-flat. But if you can get some of her intensity, it'll be worth it. =D And I take back the bit of the leotard, that is about right for hers. I think the separation of the hip piece was tricking my eyes. =X
If you have it on Xbox One I think the game works cross-platform online, so if you ever want to play it with me I'd love to. I'm not real good though compared to these young combo-mastering whipper-snappers these days.
I'm not so sure that painting on a leotard was really the way to go, but there's only so much you could get away with using another layer of material on top of the figure.
good job man! The base figma is great to work with (I did one a few years ago). Does the paint you used come off the rubber pelvic piece, I only ask because mine wanted to rub off (could have been the paint or the lack of a clear coat, this was back when i first started customizing)?
That hip part being rubber, I knew not to touch it much so I havent tested whether the paint will rub off easily, but I did use acrylics there with valejo clear satin coat over it. Probably as sturdy as it can get even if that isn't great. It was okay I suppose but too anime shaped and I don't love the visible ugly joints or the rubber hips part. It was just a cheap $25 shipped option to mess with. I mostly wanted to make a small super articulated Cammy and it was fine for that.
Awesome work man! The use of a commercial base body makes me want Hasbro to release a blank 'protoform' bot that would be easy to customise. Perhaps they would have 'car' 'jet' and 'tank' as base alt modes.
