these were commisioned in 2014, took about 8 months to complete all 4 bots. the creative brief from agency was to build something like Michael Bay's bots but not exactly the same bots as the Transformers characters. each bot stands at about 17-18" tall. non transforming since they don't need to.
the usual suspect. the first bot started out from the agency's proposal to its client. centurion :: action master initial test fit n clr digibash but agency said base figure is too small even at 12". took awhile to source out the required base figures as starting point. initially only 1 was commissioned. but after the first bot presented to client, 3 more is added to the list. oversized tkz TFs since they want it big is better. base fig at 17-18" the first bot has arrived
centurion 1 after the necessary mod to make it look less BB, time to hit the paint booth. comparison with a deluxe BB
the finished bot initial finished bot that was presented to client. they were so pleased, that they asked a further 3 more to be made for their other product range. the final wing that's all for tonite.
thanks for the comments now for the 2nd bot centurion 2 the stiff oversized TKZ leg is given a knee joint working knee ball joints shiny plates upper torso with waist swivel my favourite pose for this bot super size up
WOW! I can see how that crazy leg mod works. Listen, would it impede on the transformation of a regular ROTF Prime? Just curious.
hahaha... thanks for the interest in viewing the final centurion trying out ironman pose double trouble hulking new toes
I thought that first image was a CG render from the movies for a second. Very nicely done. That's a sweet head sculpt.
