Picked up a hasbro Sunstorm and Acid Storm, and decided I wanted to make acid storm battle damaged and worn, and convert Sunstorm into the Rainmaker Nova Storm.
So far I've removed most of the paint from Sunstorm, and swapped the head with Igears Sunstorm(which make each figure look better IMO)
I still need to paint his face, cockpit, and wings, and I hope to dye the white plastic a yellow that matches the rest of the body.

As for acid storm, I've removed some paint, and also swapped his head out, as well as cut and paint some parts. I also made the wings warped (hard to tell) but they're more misshapen now. Still got so much more work to do on both but I'm really happy with how they're coming out 








UPDATE-Acid Storm 4/11/16
Molded and cut some more parts, going to sculpt a few more parts tonight and work on some areas so they look more natural and corroded. I'm going to start painting tonight too and make each of the acid holes look like they're bubbling. The whole figure will be painted and darkened. I've put his original head back on temporarily while I work on the igear one. Any advice or opinions is very much appreciated  

 

Perhaps Acidstorm was corroded by acid. Looks like a great idea  

 

Very nice job on working with yellow paint which I know is hard to do. This is the first custom that I have seen of Nova Storm outside in awhile. Normally I see him done in black and yellow/gold but it is interesting to see him in his retro colors. Now, here is a challenge for you if you are up for it....try to do Ion Storm than you would have the complete trine.

 

Acidstorm is living up to his name. Nice custom work!

 

Thank you!  just uploaded some progress pics on Acid Storm. Going to touch up the melted parts and start painting the whole thing and make the parts look like they're bubbling and actually melting, right now he looks a little rough but after I'm done painting he should be finished ^^

Thank you   I hope to post update pics tomorrow or at least in the next few days. I'm so excited to start painting tonight and really give the illusion he's very corroded and acid like in nature. I'm also going to add some rust effects on the metal parts, and paint the machinery detail on his legs. My goal is to really make him live up to his name. Then after tonight I'll finish Nova Storm and post updates to him. I would love to do Ion Storm too, I'm just not sure I'm anywhere near the skill level to make a decent looking one XD

That's the idea^^ almost finished with him. I like to imagine his own abilities are slowly, over many millions of years, destroying him.

 

Your literal Acidstorm amuses, impresses and hurts me all at the same time. How is that possible?

It's a trade secret XD hopefully I post the last pics today, I've been painting him all week I just need to touch up one of the legs and he's finished
