Today gave the guy the final paint job. I guess the micro picture showed all the imperfection of 3D painting and result of my shaking hand :(  Still, hope you like it.

Looks good to me; About the only nitpick I could possibly give it is lack of HFG storage >XD
Still, I love how clean that shuttle mode is. I'd love to see the bot mode.

My god it's so good! I just wish you had it as a molded plastic 3P kit!

Thank you, I blended the color, using mostly brown but also some green and white

Yes I know, this is still a challenge with 3-D printing technology. But well look at how fast color laser printing got into everybody's home.

Man, that would look stellar in smooth plastic. Still looks amazing otherwise. :thumb

Yeah the thing it still took a long time for in-home printers to have good quality for an affordable price. The prints I did at home when I was younger were so pixelated.

I just feel for the service Shapeways (a company no less) offers and the price people pay for it, they should be producing items with the highest quality printers out there. But they seem to produce a quality equal to a home printed item. Heck, I got a Figure Print of my World of Warcraft character years ago and it was even printed in full color, and I feel it's a better print...

As far as the price goes, fully molded colored plastics with paint apps cost less or the same and look better (no print lines), don't even need to buy paint.

It sucks because all the cool designs that people make that are on Shapeways, can't have the quality they deserve at a good price point. More people would buy them if they were available as molded parts, like nonnef, Renderform, GCI, etc...

I know I'd be all over this for sure! Definitely the best CW Blast Off figure I've seen and beats UW Blast Off.

Beautiful job. The concept is awesome and getting it to work together is very impressive. Your shapeways store is amazing.

Ever thought about working with someone to make ABS/PVC injection molds for this?

I wonder if our own Dr. Killenger might be interested. His company is already working on several other injection-molded Bruticus upgrade sets.

    I'd buy one.
