Hello all, and thank you to all the people on the radicon boards that gave me the courage to finally make a custom! I'v lurked for a while, and finally did something!
Here's my custom Sharkticon! I know it's not a bulbous as most sharkticons, but I like to think of it as the one that hit the gym when he rose to power as a general. Its made from Beast Hunters Laserback/Vertebreak, Movie Jazz, and FOC Blast Off as well as some paint obviously.
Tell Me what you think! Should I sell it?
(I realize the paint is a little sloppy, but for a twelve year old with no painting experience, I'm satisfied!)

IMO That head could really use more Sharkticon colors...the orange just stands out. Otherwise its not bad for a first custom, and I'm always down for people making stuff out of relatively random parts.

Yeah that was supposed to end up pink because I ran out of gray paint, but it didn't turn out well. It was also supposed to get the goatee painted red and have pink dripping from the eyes like blood, but paint came through and it didn't work.

I don't know about you but the head is the thing that can really sell me on a repaint: for example if you;ve ever seen ROTF Wideload or Stock Photos of EG Aniamted Bumblebee, they just don't really sell themselves as new figures as the heads look exactly the same.

Dunno why it works like that for me.

That's ok. It works for me however and nicely adds some color. Yeah it's still not the best but it's ok!

I think your paint application is fairly neat and both modes for the figure transform correctly. However, I don't think it looks like a G1 Sharkticon. I don't think it would sell well for this reason. Also, I think you should keep it. My first game workshop figure that I painted was a zombie figure for "Hero Quest", which I painted when I was 12. It was a mess, as I didn't use an undercoat. I kept it to inspire me to do better and to compare my latest creations against.

The stumpy robot head fits really well. But that beast doesn't look too much like a shark and/or ticon.

Particularly, ears aren't sharky. And the front arms make him look more canine.

But nice colours and tail! Keep at it, you may find a way! :)

Thanks for all the feedback!!! About the beast mode, originally it was just going to be an original creation, but I wanted to figure out a way to have somethings to compare it to. But thank you all for the feedback!!!

    Sharky

Hey bud, good job for starting off (and for a 12 year old). Keep at it, cuz every expert was once a beginner. Take all the pointers u can get and learn. There are a lot of great customizers here and most are really eager to help out those of us who are learning (myself included). Thanks for sharing and hope to see more in the future.

Also please note we see lots of projects by experienced customizers. So we tend to be a bit too critical.

If you're new to this, please take this with a grain of salt.
And be proud of your great work! :)

As a customizer who has been around awhile,I will say one of the best things to do when you doing a color scheme is map it out.Cause with the right palette, anyone can become someone else.I've included some examples.Just keep pumping away and look at any tutorials to help your process.
