For the longest time I've wanted a pre-Earth/Uprising Snapper. But seeing as non-show characters seem to have a pretty slim chance at given the full toy treatment when it comes to Beast Wars stuff lately I went and made one myself. I think it turned out pretty okay, and it actually worked to solve a problem of mine being what the hell can I do to get some worth out of Beast Hunters Bumblebee.
Slick job, mate. I love the shell pieces on the hood. Shame Uprising is a hot mess of grimdark and missed opportunities, but this custom makes those terrible prose stories worth sitting through.
That should not work... Why does that work!? :O That looks awesome. Totally fits snapper and looks like what he would look like as a vehicle. The head also works surprisingly well. And the spikes/shell on the roof just complete the look. If I had any customising skills I would be copying this idea to make a snapper of my own. (Snapper was one of my first 2 transformers toys ever so he holds a special place in my heart)

Thanks for the kind words everyone! This is my first custom where I kinda knew what I was doing/wanted to do so to hear it was a success from a group of peers means a lot. Hoping the project I'm working on now will get a similar response. I'm no pro at customizing but I could probably make you one just like this if you'd want. All I'd ask is the cost of the figure, shipping and a bit for work/time.
I like it. I had Snapper as a kid. Still do, I think. I bought GDO Brawl with the intention of painting his grey parts red and turn him into pre-BW Snapper, but have yet to get around to it.
There's a lot of great stuff going on with this. Great work! Love how you used Legos to get the "shell" look on the car.
