Aye bros, this is not a big deal, it is just an easy way to make your CW Blast Off look a little better. I used some old PVC credit cards, a scissor and some super glue to make these, which are a faceplate and a top helmet detail. Then I painted them up and voila... Hope this thread is somehow useful.
Faceplate looks a but high on one side, which I think looks good. Gives him a grimacing look like he's thinking "Damn Onslaght forcing me to take this damn jet, I'M A SPACEBOT FOR THE PITS SAKE! PRIMUS END ME I'M SO SLAGGING PISSED THAT I LOST MY SHUTTLE MODE!" and he only expresses it though some irritated mumbling on the battlefield when he REALLY just wants to cap Onlsaught in the head for ruining his space time.
Those, plus the picture referring to that old Combaticons drawing, plus the toy mod, makes this whole post full of WIN.
They would had to have made a new mold for the head. It's s bit different than this. On topic, that is a nice job there. How did you get the material for the crest and mouth plate to bend in such a way?
I would pay Ca$h Money for a 3P removeable clip-on Mohawk/Visor/Faceplate accessory based on this mod. Like a TF flight mask for the hot shot 'Con pilot.
That's amaze! What a great idea! And funny, of all the Combaticons, you'd think Swindle would be the 1 to use credit cards, lol No cash, it's a credit card! Lol
Thanks everyone for commenting and considering how pricey Takara Bruticus Set is I think this is a nice solution for Hasbro Blast Off. I also did not like Takara's Blast Off that much. Robot is Okay, altmode looks awful though... For those who asked about the bending aspects of the plastic: PVC of which credit cards are made of, is a very flexible material, a lot better than styrene and it also does not break apart when you put to much pressure on it. Once you use PVC you will never want to use styrene again. You only have to make sure that you remove/peel off the thin skin of plastic film that involves the PVC cards, it's easy and fun.
