Just received a small side project from Shapeways today. I thought it might be a fun accessory for Cupola and the upcoming Iron Will. This was printed in Black Acrylic and wet-sanded with 400 grit. I'll post more pics when I start painting. Size: 44mm^2 It may be a bit small for these figures but I wanted to keep cost down in case anyone else had an interest.
So I've been kind of on a Headmasters kick. Modeled a figure as an homage to Jack, Chromedome's friend from planet Master. I plan on testing this in Shapeway's new Hi-Def Acrylate material. Finished figure should stand about as tall as Copula's head pilot. If all goes well, I'll be able to recreate the scene where Chromedome mercs the crap out of his best friend.
After much tweaking and working on this sporadically, finally got him printed. He came out pretty good. Joints are a bit weird in this material (Black Acrylic). I also feel he's a bit small so I'm going to try enlarging him a bit which will also help with the joints.

I decided I would pass on the TR Fortress Maximus and get Infinitor instead. I'm happy with the choice. I saved money, it's more shelf friendly, and looks more to his "Headmasters" appearance than TR. One thing that I wanted is fully articulated fingers. KFC's hands for MP Soundwave are just about the right size. Blue is a bit darker but I will deal. Problem is the hands on Infinitor have the mushroom peg for the wrist, the KFC hands do not. Also, I wasn't able to comfortably remove Infinitor's hands from his wrist swivel, so new wrist swivel and new mushroom pegs! Sending these out for printing tonight so should have them within the next two weeks.
