Here is a very simple mod. I'm not going to take credit for it because I've seen something similar before. I can't remember who it was who actually did it, but it was a long time ago and it wasn't the main modification to the figure. So, I'm just highlighting it because personally I think it makes a big difference.
If you're like me and didn't really take to CW prowl, and still prefer the classics version, then here is this really simple mod.
It works very easily if you have classics smokescreen (because you get a double benefit) but you could do it also with paint.
The mod is to change prowls upper legs from bland white, to grey (like the cartoon).
If you have classic smoke screen at hand, just swap the upper legs between the two figures. Voila.
Prowl gets what he wants and smokescreen also gets lighter legs, that are closer to his cartoon counterpart.

Updated to include new hands, head plate and paint apps.

That's genius. I'll have to do this swap myself.

Yeah, I did exactly this swap too... the thighs and the launchers. It's a big improvement I think. Smokescreen looks better with the white legs also, though it's unfortunate that his arms are still grey.

There's also this chest-fix... it requires some very minor cutting and gluing, but the results are worth it. It also makes the wings feel a bit less fussy.

Hmmm...I see what you did there. I might do that and a shoulder swap to match.

Thanks SMOG for the reminder on the Chest Fix, I forgot about that one and have the means of accomplishing that mod now.

Been a while since I posted on this thread.
However, between doing some prints for people and moving between projects, I had an idea to do a few simple mods to prowl.
The last mod I did for him was to replace his upper legs.
This time, I decided to switch out his hands for my upgraded deluxe hands, make some paint adjustments and redesign the plate on which his head sits and swivels.

I haven’t painted the plate yet but I painted the hands white and then added some paint to the inside of his lower legs and the tops of his lower legs.
I think he’s looking much better now.

Hi everyone. After a request, I uploaded the neck plate and the deluxe, open grip hands to my Shapeways store...which is linked in my signature.
Here is the link to the neck plate specifically, if anyone wants it, to switch out from the stock.
