I have designed 2D line art CW Motormaster cab feet for plugging into the combiner port. Anyone with 3D design experience who wants to put it on shapeways is welcome to my design. Just give me credit.
That's an interesting idea...the cost of the design will be substantial due to the size of the cab. what you could do I suppose is ask someone to create the components - i.e. the combiner port (which is just a block and a stalk), the base (just a slab with some holes), then find a matching toy cab head and glue it on.
That's a good idea. I had initially just had the thing as hollowed out - as you can see from the assembly diagrams at the bottom of the top pic. Taking the Combiner slab and Plug and attaching the G1 cab to it could work and be cheap. This is how my modded Motormaster stands (no pun intended) now. I used a G1 Grapple cab and attached some parts I had on hand to make the cab feet. It looks good, but its just not exactly where I want it to be yet.
I like where this is going. I feel like motormaster alwasy gets the short end of the stick when he is an Prime remolde. I wish the real deal had cab feet.
i think Prime may actually have been the remold in this case. Or at the very least they were designed with the other in mind.
Feel free to add that to your 3D renders. Should be easy enough to accomplish with a post and clip piece.
But wouldn't that give MM an unprecedented 4th set of cab windows? The real ones on the arms, the fake ones on the back (for Menasor mode), the fake ones on the chest (for robot mode) and now fake ones on the feet (also for robot mode)?
