    Custom Star Wars Lightsaber Prop
    Custom Lightsaber

Here are two custom lightsabers that were created by me. I saw an on-line tutorial ( Want to make your own lightsaber? It's easier than you think - Las Vegas Sun News ) that provided instructions for making homemade lightsabers. I thought this would be a fun project, so I did it for myself. I loosely followed the instructions from the tutorial. I really wanted a design of my own so I went thru greater lengths to customize and personalize it.

If you're really into Star Wars or cosplaying, it's a pretty neat and affordable project to try.

Looks really good. Reminds me of the ones I've built for myself and coworkers.

I found a good looking "pummel" alternative if you're interested. Look for a metallic sided, spring assisted cork replacement. (the metallic sides clamp around a wine bottle's neck) I discovered it fits well around the drain pipe body of the hilt with a little modifications.

Also, I found a "quick release" cell phone clip that can be glued to the pipe for a "Vader-esque" belt connector.

Those are great ideas! Thanks. I'm going to look into that. I'm sorta new to this, so I'd love to get more ideas and stuff. Thanks! :)
