Is this the Takara version or Hasbro?

I've been wanting to paint the rims on mine silver to break up the black on black. Only issue is I don't know what I should use. Some people say gundam markers other say to just paint them. I'm just scared with paint I'll overlap

Hasbro version. I used Tamya acrylic paint after recommendations from Grimlock75 and aledromo.

I overlapped some places on mine and covered it up with Tamya Nato Black. Worked like a charm.
