LEGAL DISCLAIMER: THIS TRANSFORMERS MASTERPIECE EXHAUST IS NOT FOR SALE. IT IS IN MY PRIVATE ADULT-OWNED COLLECTION. IT IS NOT INTENDED FOR, NOR ACCESSIBLE BY MINORS. IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO REFLECT THE HISTORIC VEHICLE UPON WHICH IT IS BASED.

Hello All! My AWESOME brother gave me a great birthday gift recently - MP Exhaust (Not a KO!One of my Holy Grails, never thought I'd own one!) Anyhoo, I decided to combine Reprolabels MP Wheeljack set with some Exhaust-specific labels from Ebay... wanted the alt mode to be a good approximation of the actual Lancer Stratos Turbo Group 5 from 1976. Still have a couple of things to do - drivers' names on the running boards, and still trying to decide what to do with the canopy... may still add Decepticon emblems to his shoulder(s). Also need to touch up the paint on the hood. Will not Transform him again; it's bot mode from here on out. (His joints are super-tight, scared I'll break him.) I may grab a KO and duplicate the labels, in order to display him in both modes without having to take out another mortgage. Thanks for looking! (If Admins need to delete this post, I completely understand.)

Eh, not really. I didn't use a KO for my custom.

I like everything I've seen here! Please feel free to share tips on obtaining the labels, etc.

true some that have money growing on trees might want to custom a original Exhaust :p  its the owners choice apparemtlt same like you did ;)  and like i said looks great, but when it comes to customizing and having a KO available, wouldnt that be a more logical option (in this case he got it as a gift so i see the point of using it, rather then getting an extra KO and spending more money :D  ) but i'm just saying the majority will prolly easier customize the KO without mixed feelingen then a relatively sought after original :)  no worries i was not trying 2b insulting or anything... like i said i do really like to outcome! but i quit collection MPs so not even getting the KO lol

To me the original looks like a half painted KO since PM decided to get snippy about it, so, why not use it... It's why I cancelled my PO on him, I wanted the more correct roof design on the hood, not a blocky unfinished looking mess. I didn't want to paint my MP so, I passed.

This looks like it should have looked.

Hello All. Thanks for the comments/crits. The "unofficial" labels are from ebay seller ashlinmariephoto. Included are two sets - Marlboor and M@rlb0r0. Good quality, though not as sharp or as high-res as Reprolabels. Be warned though- these labels are NOT precut. I would recommend that if you go this route, cut out a few that you do not plan to use, and practice separating the backing from the label without damaging them. I mixed-and-matched these with the Reprolabels.com MP Wheeljack set. In bot mode, I simply reversed the bicep and forearm stickers to differentiate Exhaust, and 'Jackie gave up a set of ear labels for Exhaust's knees. And to the question of why a Masterpiece, not a KO? Just personal preference, I guess. I wanted my MP to be what he should have been all along, a great tribute to one badass real-world car. The difference to me is that Exhaust doesn't represent a model of car, but one specific vehicle (As does Wheeljack). To me, this MP just isn't complete without the details. Thanks again for looking!

No. Some of the labels from both sets were on clear backs. The set from ebay was more transparent, That's why some of the decals look like waterslides. I did do a hi-res scan of both sets, when I get home from work (in 10 days) I'm going to try to make some waterslides with them, using Testor's label paper. I'll post any progress. Hopefully all goes well...

Excellent work! Looks like a scale model of the car instead of a transforming robot figure!

    Looks excellent! Well done!
I've had my eye on those M@rlb0r0 stickers on eBay but can't decide if I want them or not. I don't mind cutting them myself but I'm suspicious of the quality.

Thanks for the kind words, Zoot. Yeah, I had the same reservations. The ebay set is NOT Reprolabel quality, but they are still good quality. They are not as bright, and some of the tiniest are not as clear to read as the Repro set, hence my mixing-and-matching of the two sets. The ebay set was a necessary evil, as I couldn't find the M@rlb0r0 logos or some of the hood stickers (red wedges, race badges) anywhere else. (The rear fender stickers required special attention, as I had to cut them in three places to allow the arm/chest/hands transformation). And as I had to go Reprolabels to get the headlights, arms, and the license plate, I would highly recommend getting both sets if you go this route. Thanks again for looking!

He looks fantastic! I just got my own Exhaust and am in the process of customizing him. I have the AshlinMarie labels coming and wanted to ask how your printed scans of the set came out.

Thanks, shock! My scans were made, but the prints were never satisfactory; I plan to revive the project as soon as I get my laptop repaired...
