So I've had a weird debate with two friends: Whether or not Legends Swerve has an articulated head. They both swore they could rotate the head on theirs side to side, and that it just took some effort. To settle things once and for all, I took mine apart and proved this was not the case.

However, since I was there already, I decided to make it the case by adding side to side rotation to my Swerve.

I used a hobby saw to cut the head from the joint, then used a pin vice to drill a thin hole into both. At first I tried pinning them with a cut section of paper clip, but that didn't work because of the metal pin that runs horizontally in Swerve's upper body. So instead I cut a tiny section of thin styrene rod and cemented it in place. It's a little loose, but the head doesn't wiggle or fall off, even with some vigorous shaking.

I also purchased a MakeToys MFB kit and some 5mm styrene rods, intending to modify the handle so it'd fit into Legends Swerve's hands. Once again, I used the pin vice, some paper clip, and plastic cement, but this time I also filed the sides and bottom of the handle to flatten them out, make them more like a proper handle than a simple peg. It doesn't photograph well but it looks great in person. And it's a relatively easy mod to do with the right tools and supplies.

Looks good, always thought Swerve was ok but the only way to make him good would be to add a head rotation.

Nice. That's what I did with my MFB. just made a 5mm sleeve to go over the original handle.

Thanks man ^_^ BigBadToyStore.com has them nice & cheap.

Yeah, I should've done the same. Turns out I had 4.8mm styrene tubing the whole time. Might've even fit his hands better than the 5mm rods.

No problem. As for 5mm styrene rods, I actually had some trouble finding those. I eventually ordered a couple from China via eBay.
