Ok here are two photos. One is of the modded door and the other is my printed mirror tag. I know they are not the best but you can see the 12 and get the idea.
Wow, holy shit those are small. Y'know I toyed around the idea of putting hang tags on my jeep. Then I realized they'd be 3mm X 2mm and I was all "hahaha, fuck that!"
Ha thanks! Yeah they are pretty small and I am still figuring out how to get it attached to the jeep. Glad you like it!
It is still going. I haven't had time to post updates since the past few weeks have been busy for me. Will post some photos tonight. Maybe?
Ok here are a few pics. I know the color is still not the same but I mixed the Testors Sand Beige and White. The last pic shows the ko Binaltech Hummer which will be painted as the Ford Explorer colors. Soon, very soon... Also any tips for painting onto die cast? The hummer, like all Binaltechs, is made from die cast pieces. Enjoy! Comments and tips always appreciated.
Your Paint work is a bit clumpy. either you laid it on too thick (multiple thin coats works best. Is what I did for MY jeep) or you didn't mix your paint thoroughly enough (paint congeals, BTW, because fluid physics is a bitch when dealing with suspensions of liquids and semi-solids). Just something to think about when you go about the Hummer.
I know it is. Back when I mixed up the original paint it got a little clumpy and I did not sand it down. After painting it about 4 times with different mixes I began to like it. To me with the backstory I thought of he is not suppose to be like he drove off the car lot. So I decided to keep the clumpy bits. My other customs do not have clumpy paint. If anyone is interested I can provide the backstory I thought up when I finish this guy up. Also have you ever painted on die cast parts? Could you give me any tips before I start on the hummer.
