Hello, all. A quick custom for my brother. Swapped First Aid's head with fellow user JohnBonhamatron's excellent Minerva head, found here - A little bit of Dremel and drill action, and a few wounds later, she was painted up. left the post intact, and cut off the ball joint and drilled out the base. She still transforms, and her head turns. (No pics of that, tho. Still waiting for the paint to finish curing). thanks for looking!
I really like this. I don't have any particular attachment to Minerva beyond "rescue vehicle femmebot" so anything that makes her new or inventive is highly welcome.
Very nice, I am not understanding how this mold isn't good for First Aid though l must have missed how First Aid looks.
I've got the Star Cats not Defensor set, and wanting to turn the obviously fem-got ambulance figure into Minerva, any idea how this head lines up size-wise with her?
I like First Aid just fine, though I do think his head is a little big, but I got him nonetheless. I really dig this conversion though, it looks good, colours work and the head is well done.
Thanks for the tip. I love the looks JohnBonhamatron's Minerva head but was bummed that it wasn't designed for CW figures. I just ordered the head to match with SteamShield's Kissy Medic chest for my Dead End.
She was the Junior Headmaster that got repainted and genderswapped by Hasbro and released as Nightbeat in the US and Europe.
I can't swear on the actual release dates in japan ws USA and Europe etc but the mold was first developed as the female Minerva and Hasbo usa Decided against a female bot and decided to repaint and rename so I'd bet Minerva was available in Japanese retail before Nightbeat was available in US retail because time necessary to do those changes
