Apologies for posting these on a different thread/forum. But here it is, my project "MENASOR!!" Custom detail painted Blackjack
Thanks man!!! Not to shabby for just little touch-ups. I'm still debating wether to keep Black Jack on or off the chest.
That looks great! Awesome work mate, although the paint on Offroad's Axe makes me think of the Dragon flute/dagger/it was actually a trumpet from MMPR lmao
Amazing detailing. I always wanted to do that. But I on other hand like the clean look. I must get myself to start doing some serious detailing work soon.
Thanks! Yeah I hear quite a lot of unpleasant reviews about this thing. So I figured I fixed him up and made him look a little bit appealing. I was able to fix his stability issues. And now I can get some dynamic poses out of him, which was the best part. He quite turned out to be such a bad azz figure with just some minor detailing work.
So far so good!!! Although it limited some of the articulations for this guy, this PC-04 combiner kit defenitely made this figure look a lot better. I just pre-ordered the PC-02 add-on kit and will plan to do some touch-up paint on it. Hopefully it will make the figure look 10 times better. Then everything on this guys should be all set. Then I will do some good photoshoots...
Thanks guys!!! I mostly use Testor flat paints on all of the figures, and MSP paint sealer to protect the paints from minor scratches during transformation. But for the purple color on this figure, i just spray the purple parts with a Testor clear flat; and then top it off with MSP brush-on sealer.
Damn. Some paint and some add-ons(i gotta look into those)completely changed this figure. The only thing that would drive me crazy is it would look out of place on the shelf and then i would have to repaint them all. You have a really good eye for color placement.Bravo Sir!
Thank you!!! Despite of some design flaws, he still has potential of becoming a really great figure. I quite surprised myself that even with some little color touch-ups here and there made this figure looke quite amazing.
What exactly is MSP? Is it a sort of brand? I'm looking to getting into minor detailing and painting for some figures and would help to know how to keep the paint from scratching.
