Gets rid of all that bulk that I hate as a leg and an arm, that front clip is just too much sticking out on limb mode. HasTak should have thought of this, totally looks like a shield, and like it was meant to be that way.
Just an FYI: tried to get Groove onto Rooks leg mode but wasn't satisfied. There's ways, but none of them were all that great. The easiest was to take the post on grooves forearm & plug it into Rooks shoulder hole. If anybody wants pix lemme know.
Edit: added pix of groove on leg and of the reversed shield on leg. Sealie: it barely holds on, & grooves arm has to chicken wing out to hold on...
No prob. I was mostly interested in making Rooks backpack into a shield. I accomplished that. Quite easily and well. All else is icing on the cake!
Unless there's more than 1 size of bionicle joint , then no. They're too big. But if you're a bit more adventurous, you can mod 1 in there with a bit of work. On a side note, I now see why HasTak made Rook with that pinned on hinge: remolds. Swindle has that canopy where rooks top is. And no sense on swindles canopy coming off. If you can follow my logic...
i did this just now. i don't even need the ball joint. all modes work perfectly. but in robot mode,for some reason,i think of link. i'm going to need a master sword for him, but the hookshot will do for now.
