More blurry WIP pics. Attached the magnets. Some good, some bad. Gun barrel works great! Tank mode works well too! Arm cannon? Gah!! The cannon is heavier near the front, causing it to swivel. I attempted to attach another magnet on the upper forearm and near the back of the cannon, but It wouldn't secure properly, and I just ended up with a goopy mess. I'll have to find another way.
Progress update. Most of the upper body is assembled. I lost a little mobility in the shoulder ratchets due to the stiff paint, but it shouldn't effect transformation.
Very good, I know where I can get some cheap Brainstorms so it's tempting to try this myself once I've finished Liokaiser
This is becoming very awesome with every update!! You know I just realized that the Galvatronus head that CW Cyclonus comes with could be used for this. The head you have used though works also and looks very good. Keep up the great work man!
Thanks! I think the Galvatronus head would be WAY too big for this. I'll try to take a comparison shot later tonight as I have that figure too. I'm having a little trouble with the leg detailing. I'm hand-painting the little arrow shin details and I'm not masking it consistently. Which is why it is taking longer than expected. I should also be getting Mania King this week, so I'll have a comparison shot that that too.
Still working on the leg assembly, but here is a comparison with Galvatronus. As you can see, there is no way that head could work. Also new pic of the tank mode added to page 1!
Just a thought on the head but both of Ariel's Customs helmets for TR Galvatron and I think both look great. I prefer the appearance of the G1 helmet but my CHUG collection is IDW whenever possible and the IDW helmet looks great too. So maybe use TR Galvatron's titan master with one of Ariel's Customs' helmets?
