After a long time in development my ROTF/Energon/United Brawl Upgrade kit to use with Fansproject Bruticus/Colossus is finally complete and ready for the public! As some of you may know this has been a long and bumpy road to completion but I feel the end results are well worth it! Right now the only way to get this set is with Shapeways, this wasn’t my first choice but Shapeways was the guaranteed way to release this set in a reasonable amount of time.

The set is currently broken down into 5 different sets to reduce the overall price. Each part can be found on my Shapeways store:

    Bennington Bots

or at the individual links below:

    Brawl - Legs
    Brawl - Chest
    Brawl - Back
    Brawl - Arms
    Brawl - Head

This set does required 9 additional M2x6MM screws that are not included in the existing figure. I tried many different configurations but I could not find one that gave me the results that I was looking for. You can purchase the screws at the following link: M2x6MM Screws or you can send me a PM on here, through Shapeways or my Bennington Bots Facebook page. Please just send me your name, address, order date and Shapeways user name so I can make sure I do not miss anyone.

Note: the overall price has be reduced. Because of Shapeways "fixing" the price structure it is hard to have prints at a lower price, even using spurs. So im experimenting with the cost to see what works.

Over the next few days I will be completing all of the instruction sheets. There will be one for assemble, transformation and installation. Once these are completed I will update this page and my Facebook.

Please note: as with all Shapeways orders, some joints may need to be tighten using nail polish, superglue or furniture polish.

As always comments are always welcome!

    Very nice!

Hope someone with some solid paint skills can print this out and make one epic FP Bruticus.

Ever consider seeing if the CW Blades (and eventually Vortex) figure could be modded to fit into the old Energon set? That mold works quite well for Vortex, and would be less work than adding new parts to the old figure.

Actually I have looked into this very thing. the biggest issue I am finding is that the Blades mold is wider and in arm mode he is longer. But I have looked into how it might work.

Wanted to let everyone know that the overall price has be reduced. Because of Shapeways "fixing" the price structure it is hard to have prints at a lower price, even using spurs. So im experimenting with the cost to see what works.

    !!

This is like a little masterpiece. The only thing this figure has to envy Warbotron about is size (and paint :D ). This is still over my budget but so is WB and I'd rather just improve my FP Bruticus. It fits better sizewise with the rest of my collection.

I been waiting for this kit since it was shown Loooooooooooong ago on Cybertron.ca forums... I kept asking for news about it and never gotten any... Saw Peaugh's video this morning, and placed my order ASAP... PMed you about the screws.

I do plan on making a FULL video, When I receive it, paint it, assemble it, and review it :)  CANT WAIT to get it!

    Quick Question:

What is the best type of paint for shapeway's "strong flexible" plastic?

Sorry about the cybertron absence, but yeah it is finally done. Sent you a PM about the screws, thanks for your Order!

I used normal testers model paint in the past and it went well. You may want to see what other people on here have used because when it comes to paint I am pretty bad so there may be better choices out there.

Very nice, I really like the use of clips in the arms. On a whole, it really makes me think of one of Head Robots' sets way back in the day.

I like the set, but the full price is kinda high for something that also needs painting up. If it came to half the price I'd go for it, or full price if were a mass market set. Have you considered contacting a 3P? We've seen some products that came out of private designers.

...so... you gotta Vortex upgrade kit coming ;)

Seriously though a beautiful job on this kit. Were I more into customizing, I'd be all over this set.

Peaugh's video(s) really sold me on this kit. The only thing holding me back from it is the price. Not because I'm not willing to pay said price, but because I'll have to wait until I have the funds.
