Some of you may remember the Chameleon Beast wars custom I posted a couple of weeks ago, which was an original character creation by the customer that commissioned me to make it. Well, this is that same fella, Blindside, in his cybertron form. I was sent a Generations Chromia and the drawing attached at the end of the pictures to use as reference for how he should generally look. Kinda hard to make Chromia a guy since there is no room to widen the chest or sides but I did my best! Every single part of the base figure has been modified and resculpted over except the hands and forearms.
Nice work! I also wonder why your customer chose Chromia of all TF's for a male bot custom. And frankly, even his artwork looks decidedly feminine. You did an awesome job, though!
Hah, it was me. I don't know why the artist went with a cycle for an altmode either. I would guess it was because his Beast form was also sleek and tiny, but we took what we had and ran with it.
Being the ignoramus I am, I had to search tfwiki and google for Blindside. Yeah, I can now see how the bike mode resembles his iguana beast form. That's true. Chromia's pretty much the only Tron-cycle former available. Now that I know more about the underlying concept, yeah, Chromia does work out rather well for the character.
You did an amazing job adapting the artist's design. These colors are so vibrant that him being a chameleon almost seems ironic, now.
