Hi Everyone, Felix of Tecrom Designs here with an all new model. As some of you know, 2015 marks the 30th Anniversary of "Jem and the Holograms," one of the big three from Sunbow Productions from the 80's. And as a fan of the pink haired rock star, I wanted something "extra special" to commemorate the occasion. With IDW's recent re-imagining of Jem and the Holograms in their new book, I thought it'd be redundant to do the same, so I opted to do something different. Enter Emma Pacheco of “The Remix.” The concept behind the design was based on a simple premise, “What if Jerrica Benton stopped being JEM in the 90’s and had a child; a daughter who later takes on the Jem persona and forms a new band for today’s generation?” I hope you like her! Thanks Tresob, I'm glad you like her. I know my concept is essentially fanfic/fanart but I really think it’s cool how Jem fans can enjoy multiple continuities much like what we have with Transformers. They can now choose from the original animated series, the IDW Comics and the new Film franchise. Personally I prefer the classic but I’m willing to give the new film a go. And I have to admit, it would be a dream come true to work on an animated show that continues where the original series left off, as either a writer or character designer. But I'd settle for having HASBRO approve this new "Emma Pacheco" model and have it become an officially licensed product on Shapeways. I'd love to make her available to Jem fans who may be interested in the model, like what Hasbro has permitted me to do with my Transformers and Dungeons & Dragons designs. Unfortunately however, the “Jem and the Holograms” brand was never one that was offered on Shapeways. Hopefully this will change soon, as interest in the brand grows. Thanks -Felix M./Tecrom Designs
Thanks brother! I know you're a big fan of the classic Sunbow shows and was hoping you'd chime in. Again, I really want to get this model approved so I can get her out to the fans. I'd love to expand on the concept; in a way continuing the classic show through sculpture!

I'm happy you guys like the design. She's been posted in various fan forums (Jem, G.I. Joe, MOTU, Marvel/DC etc.) and I'm proud to say the reception has been very positive. My hope is that Hasbro will have the same response.
Thanks Unicron9, I'm a huge fan of your work as well. I'm glad you like her. I'm a HUGE fan of the show and always knew I had to give her a modern update. I'm happy to say that the design has been VERY well received and I've gotten lots of requests for the other characters. And speaking of Rio, I may have to design something inspired by him as well, if just to have a companion piece to this one.
