I love the shelving! I'd like to do something like this when I set up my Man-cave in my new house.

I recently had a mishap with my ikea algot shelves, so looking to switch to some modded detolfs like you've done here. Do you think 4 could be put together and have 2 sets of doors opening wide for a really long cabinet like this:

or would the 2 center doors interfere with each other? I guess it could also go this way:

\ \ \ \

but the double opening doors would be more useful for getting things in and out.

 

You'd have to reinforce the floor/roof panels big time but I'd probably only put a door on either side like so:
_______
\ ----- /

That way the two centre panels in the middle front would help the overall structure. If you have a go let us all know how it goes as I might try it myself too.

 

that's an interesting idea. To make sure I follow, do you mean there would only be doors on either end at the sides ? I think that would look really good, but getting things in and out would be a little more difficult. I'm not exactly sure when I'll get a chance to tackle this but I'll share what I do here.
