I purchased this a little while back in Purple Strong and Flexible polished, and it's a great piece! Unfortunately the square holes on my Blackjack are very tight, and as such the little tab on the axe section just above the 5mm hole has nearly broken off :(  - so I'm going to take an exacto-knife to said holes to make the connection a bit more loose - None-the-less This little accessory is exactly what I wished had come standard with Blackjack! Thanks so much for making it!

Oh no, sorry to hear about the tightness. Mine was similar.

What I did was to slowly push the pegs in, progressively compressing the powder until the peg ends up thinner and fit the peg holes better.

Alternatively you can use an exacto blade and trim the pegs slightly. That works as well.

Yeah XD - Ironically this is the first time I've had to loosen something when Shapeways was involved :p  - everything else I've bought so far I'd have to tighten! But keep making awesome stuff!

Just go it in the mail the other day. Works really well. Love that the gun could be mounted on the spolier. Fantatsic job, you just saved blackjack.

What I really like about this set is that it's practical. It achieves a certain goal, while supplementing the figure with practical accessories. It utilizes the parts as usable pieces, instead of being "throwaway" kibble parts that serve no alternate purpose(ie laid to the side when not necessary). It's versatile, detailed, & well thought-out. I will definitely get this if it comes out in FUD, especially for the rodimus retool it was intended for, and possibly for blackjack too. And if FUD doesn't happen, I'll definitely try the polished. Excellent job fakebuster!

Now just make it so it can also function as a hilt for Motormaster's sword, and you've won the internet. :thumb

Does Menasors sword even need a hilt? It already kind has one.

If it really needs to, maybe the spoiler could peg onto the sword somehow...

EDIT: After quickly looking over mine, if you really wanted to peg this wing onto the sword, you could easily do it. But you'd have to mod your Menasor sword by drilling a hole thru & gluing the proper size peg into the hole you make.

Are those Rodimus pix in the polished material?

Any chance of it coming out in FUD? Thinking of getting it but wanna make sure of my options.

Yes, I can release it in FUD for you. Just be aware of the extra fragility especially on the rectangular pegs.

Hmm, too loose when it's not polished? Are you referring to the 5mm peg?
You might want to try contacting Shapeways to see if they can help you with that. Or, coat the loose areas with nail polish or superglue to see if you can thicken them up.

it was all loose. the pegs and ports wouldn't fit the chest and Blackjack at all.
i'll try to do the superglue idea later. thanks for the tips!!!
