I recently started building the new Ban Dai Star Wars Kits and I'm loving them! One of them, the X-Wing kit I thought lends itself remarkably well to repaints. The mold itself is nice and produces with a modicum of painting a perfectly serviceable X-Wing model however, it lacks a little transformers edge to it so I am attempting a Seekers repaint project because, well, the seekers are hardly ever remade, kinda like Bumblebee and Prime, right?!! I'm going to try to get myself sorted out with some image site to post in line but for now please feel free to have a look at my project. Finished the painting last night, using Testors enamels so just need to wait a couple of days to be sure they're fully cured and then time for assembly! Feel free to make suggestions / comments but be nice, it's my first attempt at something like this Also I know that I will have touch ups to do once I remove from the sprues and to answer as to why certain zones have not been painted, they are either A : duplicate parts or other parts I won't be needing (for example there are enough parts to build 2 droids and there are 2 pilots and these will be on the bases flying so I have no need for the landing gears. B : parts that are going to be covered up in the final model, as you can see I built a plain version first so I would know where things went. C : the lasers. I'm not sure if I want these to match the weapons, be all black, be all silver, be all something else... Seeing as these are the last parts to be attached I still have time to decide Hope you enjoy what I have done so far and I'll post the final models once done. edit: oh yes, and I know, no Star Scream, I'm still debating on if I want to do him White or Grey!

was out with friends last night but got back to work tonight, project is coming on nicely, TC is complete and Star Scream is 90% there, just SW to go, hopefully tomorrow night I'll be done. This has been great fun and I hope to do a proper photo shoot this weekend!
Finally finished assembly, need a couple of touch ups on a couple of zones but on the whole I'm happy with these. Skywarp I feel could have benefited from a slightly lighter purple and also I feel that I was ripped off with the paint. No proof but I feel like the seller had already used some and added thinner to make up the contents, the paint just didn't go on like the others. Ah well! still, the end result is rather nice and I'm happy with my little project. It's a really simple project and if anyone wants to do this any pointers and tips on where I went wrong (the answer is, in many places, lol!) I'd be happy to advise. all in all, a fun little project and I learned some things doing these. Next project is making a cheap KO G1 Star Saber look more like the real thing, lol!
