    Minibot "Doomface" (Shapeways)
    Update May 4, 2015

Check out the video review of Doomface and Chaise by Peaugh!

This is Doomface. He stands 7.7 cm tall and is a handsome, purple bundle of love. He likes singing, taking
care of his bonsai garden and go shopping with friends.

He is extremely poseable with balljointed shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and feet. His head is on a peg swivel.
He can also hold/mount 3mm peg compatible accessories.

He also has a couple of other secrets...

    Assembly

Him being such a small figure, his assembly is meant to be straightforward. However there are a few items you
need to take note of to be able to put him together correctly. Also, he has been engineered to have as robust joints
as possible but you might still need to coat the ball joints and sockets with superglue or nail polish to increase tightness.

He comes in a jiggling mess of sprues and body parts. Use an x-acto blade and a pair of snips to carefully remove all the
sprue connectors. Look twice, cut once. Be careful not to cut away anything that resembles a body part. In most cases
I will not be replacing damaged pieces.

Put together the pieces for his torso. You will need to flex the main body frame outwards to accommodate the neck socket piece.
(Don't worry, Strong & Flexible material can take some punishment.)

For the arms, there are indicators 'L' and 'R' to differentiate left and right pieces.

There are some tread-like pieces for the heels that resemble pieces in the upper arms. Do not get them mixed up.
Same as before, put the legs together using the 'L', 'R' indicators provided.

Assemble his head. Ensure the orientation of the neck peg is correct, with the arrow at the base of the peg pointing front/up.

You're almost done! Put together all the main body parts and feel free to peg in his weapons.

    Voilà.

    Minibot "Doomface" (Shapeways)

    Conclusion
Doomface is the first of a hopefully long line of minibot designs that I've been planning to do. This series is meant to be a line of
3D print specific figures that do not need too much painting or post processing, and provide something that's unique that probably
    won't be found anywhere else.

I'll be very grateful for your support, and I hope you'd like what I have to offer.

Comments and critique very much welcome and I thank you for stopping by!

Cool. Finally launched. To clear all doubts. I saw it in person and indeed it is "Headmaster".

Great work from a great designer.

    Dude, these are like amazing!

I'm so in awe of what you pull together regarding designs - and getting them printable!

There are so many questions I'd love to ask about the jointing/assembly for projects i'm working on, but don't want to be a pain or owt

    Hi Ginger,
As written on the model page, I printed the figure in Strong Flexible material. It is the only option available, in a selection of dyed colours.

Just note that the dye doesn't penetrate too far into the material so you'll have to be careful where you cut into the parts.
