    Update 9/26/15

    MP-24 Star Saber adapters.-

The new blue handle has the hilt rotated 90 degrees so Star Saber can hold his sword correctly. The second picture is an adapter for those of you who have purchased KFC's articulated hands. This adapter replaces the one KFC provided and will hold the swords weight and in the correct orientation. Proto's coming soon! Stay tuned!

Nice! It always bothered me that Star Saber would always hold his sword like it was a club or baseball bat. You'd think Takara would've added a simple swivel joint on the hilt so the blade could be turned to whatever orientation folks preferred.

Ya, I would have thought they would have too!

I really didn't want to cut up my $150 figure!

I'd be interested in one, I came up with a similar fix, but yours looks a little more stable long term than my version

Having gotten one off of Shapeways earlier, I can confirm the handle-holder works really well. The only thing I'd add is that, once you get it, don't try to slide the sword into the slot - it works more like a hook, and you should slide the sword into his hand to the height you want him to hold it at, and then rotate the handle into the slot. Once there, it holds nice and firm and lets you pose the figure gripping the longer handle pretty much any way you want without sliding loose.

What is price for internationally shipped? Although I find the price a bit ridiculous for what it is, it fixes one of the issues I have with this figure, so I'm interested.

Just a quick update. Shapeways notified me by email that my order will be shipping with a delay. The new expected ship date is between 4/23 and 4/28. I will update this thread as soon as the parts actually ship. Thank you everyone for your patience!!!

I received an email today from Shapeways that the parts are breaking away from the sprue and they are getting lost in the manufacturing process. They have cancelled my order and have asked me to update the file. I have updated the file and re-purchased the bulk order. The new ship date is 5/6. I should have them in hand by the 11th. Again I apologize to everyone and thank you for your patience!

    Thanks!!!
