Been picking these up for a while with the intention to paint orange to use for a backdrop for my MP Transformers. Not much customizing, basically just a paint job. Have a few more coming for the Decepticons.
NICE. Very impressive. I'm way too cheap to paint my chain bases. Even the bootlegs are getting hard to find. I just printed out some interior Ark G1 panels on paper that i found on google image searches & did my poor man's diorama.
I know of this guy on F-book , Made this really awesome set out of wood. If I had not spent all my money on pre-orders I would have purchased this set he is making to sell.
Hi, do you mind sharing the source of this..... I think I need to do a poor man diorama like yours as well...
Check out these links. http://x4.ofgraphicdesign.com/projects/ark/ http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/tutor...ting-backgrounds-your-collection-shelves.html
love what the you did. Not sure what kind of "chain" that is..mabye the flexible cover over hydrolic/electrical systems that flexes as a machine moves? I like the color, I love the detail. ...totally bookmarked these. With these cut out, anyone can cheaply make some cool backdrops cheap and custom to fit anyones shelfs. Thanks.
Here are the original files. Just a matter of printing them out to your needs. I used standard paper nothing fancy. Scissors & some scotch tape= done.
The only thing that bothers me about the G1 Ark interiors are that the orange-gold color kind of drowns on that primary autobot red to some degree. Might be too much to look at every day for some collectors. That's why i switched up the flooring to basic metallic greys to make it easier on the eyes.
