I'm pretty sure I never made a thread for this a few years ago when I made the custom, if I did then apologies for the repost! I couldn't find it. Also, since I no longer have the Gundam markers I had when I made this, some paint is showing some wear, so... yeah. But yes, the way this came about... I was given the Universe 2008 Sunstreaker and since I didn't have much attachment to the twins, and have a love for obscure/underused characters, I found Tigertrack on TFwiki and tried to get a Sideswipe head to make one... But I could never find one in the timeframe when I was interested in making this. So I ended up just making a Tigertrack of my own design using nothing but the Sunstreaker itself! My immediate departure from the original character is the addition of black stripes, which I realize might be a bit to Bumblebee-esque, but it seemed like a good idea for a guy with 'Tiger' in the name to have some sort of stripe. I added some excessive black due to my lack of actual colors - I had silver and black to work with, haha. But one minor thing I did was remove the clear blue parts on the headlights and thighs, then do a yellow marker on the inside of em to give them a green hue. Also a back view, because. Next is robot mode! With the robot mode, this is where things get more varied. My first decision was to make the chest the same one Sideswipe uses on this mold, with some black added to it to make it similar to his toy. There's no Autobot emblem since I never got Reprolabels and, in retrospect, it's not in a good place for one to be safely placed due to the transformation... The legs, I think, were disassembled and rearranged in some way because they now face in a direction neither mold used. This means the bumper kneecaps are now off to the sides, with the roof forming the front of the legs. The way I accomplished this resulted in a bit of a goof on the car... See that gap in the roof? That plastic was chopped off to make room for the feet to stand properly in robot mode. It was a small price to pay and I don't think it stands out unless you look straight at it. For the head, I of course still had to use Sunstreaker with his silly fins. What I ended up doing with them is chopping off the top half of the L shape they formed, and colored in the red with more black so that it was all one solid color. When I placed the fins back onto the head, I put them in backwards so the obvious paint work could be hidden, and accidentally discovered this meant they didn't require a spring since they were more firmly in place than before! So as a bonus, he has articulated fins. Meow. And as a bit of an afterthought, the gun was changed slightly. Apart from being painted in silver (as it was previously greyish), the proper front of the gun was chopped off a bit to make that end shorter, then I whittled down a couple of small holes into the two pipes to properly make THOSE the gun barrels. Just a minor way of making the gun his own. And that's Tigertrack. He isn't a massively impressive kitbash and I certainly went nuts to make him more stripe-y, but I like him in my collection.
