    Hi guys,

Here is my first attempt a customising a toy. Inspired by Shadow Panther's work I made some small modifications to my Hasbro's Masterpiece Thundercraker to better match MP-11SW Skywarp.

It's not perfect, especially the tail fins (damn masking), but I'm overall satisfied with the results.

    Added details to the guns
    Added details to the feet
Painted the short shorts and the side skirts
Repainted the whole chest and jet intakes in silver
Painted the leg vents in silver
Painted the shoulder plates in silver to match the other seekers (shoulder stalks)
Painted the neck of the cockpit silver
Removed the Reflector, tail fins and cockpit tampos
Reduced the length of the engine deco which extended too far
Painted the wing navigation lights red and added the little yellow stripe on the wing tips.

Very nice, just make sure you post some some pics of the normal thundercracker next to pic of your custom one just helps to make your custom figure stand out more since people can quickly see the difference.

Keep up the good work :)

Thanks mate, good advice. I didn't think about that since IMO everybody knew what he looks unmodded.

    Thanks

Would you be so kind as to let us all know what shade of blue you used? :D  Or was it a mixture?

Of course, it was Testors Gloss Dark Blue #1111. It's a bit too dark, but I liked it that way. A little white would probably have given the righ shade, but like I said it's my first attempt at cutomizing.

Definitely! I ended up keeping the shouder stripes as I thought they made him standout a little bit more and also match a bit more with Skywarp who also has shoulder stripes.

That looks close enough :)  Thanks! I'll have to try that on mine.
