first place winner for tfcon 2015 toronto 3d custom contest - thanks to the judges and all those involved!

pretty self-explanatory if not obvious: upgrade parts to convert AOE deluxe hotshot (blue repaint of crosshairs) to tracks. obviously there will be flight mode for him

    stuff in mind:
    - missile pack
    - wings
    - new head

    points of interest:
    - missile back compatible in both vehicle mode and robot mode
    - 5mm ports on missiles to attach crosshairs' mini-guns
    - wings on missile pack can be folded down and more concealed when not in flight mode (vehicle mode and robot mode)
    - removable face for easy painting
    - backpack + missile + wings combine into an independent "attack drone" mode

Order full kit from Shapeways here:

    Assembly instructions and FAQ

    - parts list (or what to cut out from the mesh):
    1 tiny face
    1 helmet
    2 small wings
    2 big wings
    2 big wing attachments
    2 missiles
    1 backpack
    parts.jpg

    - head assembly:
just push the tap on the face up into the helmet "slot" from below. but make sure you plug the helmet onto the ball joint first
    faq_face.jpg

    - backpack assembly:
you can attach weapons (crosshair's small guns) to the 5mm ports on the sides of the missiles
    faq_backpack.jpg

    - wing assembly and orientation:
the side with the 5mm peg hole (for attack drone mode use) does not face outward in robot mode (but doesnt really matter for orientation, whatever fits your bill)
    faq_wing.jpg

    - attack drone mode assembly:
note that for drone mode you will have to swap the missiles left and right (from the backpack config) for the rectangular wing tabs to be inserted into. weapons (crosshair's small guns) can be attached to the 5mm ports on the wings

Robot mode pics updated in top posts.

    Feedback time:
I am now sort of in a dilemma regarding wingspan. The hotshot toy has a bulky car mode but skinny robot mode. As of right now the wing length n size looks good in flight mode but looks too big n long in the skinny robot mode.

How do you guys feel? Do u feel the wings are too overwhelming in robot mode? are you ok with smaller wings that may look good in robot mode but look too tiny in flight mode?

Honestly, I like it as is. The wings may be big in bot mode but it's all balanced out by the missiles, back rack, etc so the weight and shape of it looks fantastic. It'd be different if the missles and upper area were a different size but it really does look good altogether.

IF you're still not liking how far out the wings go in bot mode, you could always take a page from the Generations Tracks and build the wings to swing down in bot mode.

Im sure everybody will like their tracks to have the wings spread out in robot mode; its just not tracks otherwise. Rught now this tracks mildly reminds me of victory saber lol

Keep the wings how they are, I think it looks great.
